Students entering grades 4-6 have a good basis in understanding the physical world around us, its basic history, geography, and habits. By providing this frame of reference we encourage the interconnectedness of all knowledge studied in class. There is no content that isn’t related to something else. Students still do a lot of physical experimentation; however, as they progress into later grades, students encounter abstract concepts more often – but now they are able to connect them to reality.
